Meet the Therapist
Hi, my name is Ben – thank you for viewing my profile.
My role is to create a steady, compassionate space where you can make sense of things at your own pace and figure out what you want or need from therapy. I have worked in community for a number of years mainly in crisis intervention work prior to my counselling qualification and since qualifying have continued to support various individuals with a wide range of issues.
We are all unique individuals and as such my approach will be tailored to your specific needs, focusing on what will work best for you. Counselling can allow you time and space to focus on yourself. I aim to provide a confidential safe space to allow you the time you need to explore the issues you have faced or are currently facing.
Professional Qualifications
I hold qualifications in the following areas:
- CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
- CPCAB Level 2 in Counselling Skills
- Mental Health First Aid
- Child Protection & Adult Safeguarding
- Safe TALK
- Trauma Informed Practice (Level 1 & 2)
- Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
- OCN Level 3 in Trauma
My Style of Therapy
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I am trained in different approaches and can use these different ways of working (mainly Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT) in our work together to best meet your needs.
My work is centred on you and what you need. No two sessions are the same, because your experiences and goals shape the direction we take together. I focus on building a relationship where you feel safe, respected, and comfortable enough to explore whatever you bring.
We’ll work together to find an approach that fits you, not the other way around.
