Meet the Therapist

My name is Helen and I am an integrative counsellor. This means I draw on a variety of strategies and techniques to best support everyone. I have vast experience supporting people through life’s most challenging moments. I have worked with individuals navigating mental health struggles, grief and loss, traumatic experiences, LGBTQIA+ journeys, and multiple other complex life situations.

I approach counselling by humanising every experience, recognising that each persons story is unique and worthy of understanding. I believe that you already hold the answers within you, and my role is to guide you in exploring them, offering a safe, non-judgemental space to do so. Together, we can work on building resilience, finding clarity and fostering hope.

Seeking support can feel daunting but taking that first step is an act of courage. I would be privileged to walk alongside you on your journey towards growth and healing.

My Style of Therapy

I practice in a person-centred, integrative, and trauma-informed way, which means I focus on you as an individual, your experiences, and what you need from our work together. My role is to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges at your own pace.

My approach is also deeply humanising and compassionate. I aim to treat every person with dignity, empathy, and understanding, recognising that each story is unique. Together, we work collaboratively to explore your needs, build resilience, and support meaningful growth, healing, and positive change.

“Your reactions today make sense when we understand the experiences that shaped you. Nothing about you is ‘random’ or ‘broken’ — it is a response to what you’ve lived through.”
