Meet the Therapist
Hello, my name is Jamie, and I am a qualified Integrative Therapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Over my 15-year vocation in mental health I have worked across various settings and have developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in mental health.
In my practice, I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can safely explore thoughts and emotions that may feel difficult or overwhelming. My approach is centred on your needs, moving at a pace that respects your comfort and readiness.
I believe that no single approach works for everyone, so I tailor my support to meet each client’s individual goals and experiences. Drawing from humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural approaches, we will work to create a personalised path to help you reach a place of greater clarity and resilience.
Professional Qualifications
I hold qualifications in the following areas:
- Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling Practice – Ulster University
- Online and Telephone Counselling – BACP
- Level 4: Understanding Risk Intervention – City and Guilds
- Assessment, Planning and Care for Clients with Complex Issues – NOCN
- Understanding Brief Interventions for Practitioners – NOCN
- Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults – Level 3
My Style of Therapy
I work with adults from diverse backgrounds, supporting you through challenging behaviour or habits, anxiety, despair, grief, and feeling “stuck.” I’m especially interested in how our biology influences our thoughts and behaviours, and I provide tools to help manage physical and emotional distress.
I deeply believe that each person has the inner strength to heal, and I feel privileged to be part of this journey with you. My role is to support you in uncovering that strength and to provide guidance along the way.
