Meet the Therapist

Hello, my name is Joan Beech, I am a qualified integrative therapist, I hold professional registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP). 

I am committed to providing you with a non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential therapeutic space.  A space where you will feel free to navigate difficult emotions, thoughts and beliefs that can be hard to express openly with others. 

Based on your individual needs and preferences, I will offer you a range of approaches and techniques which will assist you in the exploration and understanding of your issues.  Using agreed methods, we will work in a collaborative way to help you overcome barriers to your personal growth and development, and to find your best way forward.

My Style of Therapy

Your individualised therapy can incorporate; CBT (including traditional, strengths-based, mindfulness-centred), Person-centred and Psychodynamic. 

As an integrative therapist I am skilled at adapting my practice to a wide range of issues incorporating a blend of approaches.  I have experience of working with a diverse range of clients with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, phobias, and relationship difficulties.

I appreciate that different people require different styles of therapy including pace, structure and level of activity, I am committed to working responsively to your needs throughout the duration of therapy.  We will review and modify the approach where necessary, to ensure that you receive therapy that works best for you.
