Meet the Therapist

Hello, I’m an integrative counsellor who has worked in the field of mental health crisis and for many years. I am passionate about offering a warm, supportive space where you can explore what’s going on for you at a pace that feels right. I believe that therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, understood, and not judged – so the relationship we build together is at the centre of our work.

I support adults, offering traditional talking therapy as well as experiential approaches, depending on what feels most meaningful and effective for you. As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of approaches to ensure the therapy fits you – not the other way around. I place great importance on the therapeutic relationship because a safe, trusting connection is the foundation for meaningful change.

Professional Qualifications

I hold qualifications in the following areas:

  • Foundation Degree in Counselling – Ulster University
  • Diploma in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Level 4 Equine Assisted Services
  • ASIST Training
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Safeguarding Training (Child & Adult)
  • Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO Training)

My Style of Therapy

My approach is primarily person-centred, meaning I focus on understanding you as a whole person and tailoring therapy to your individual needs. I use psychodynamic principles to help make sense of how past experiences, patterns, and relationships may be influencing your life now. This can bring a deeper understanding of recurring themes, emotions, or behaviours. I draw on CBT to support you in identifying unhelpful thought patterns and developing practical skills to manage them.

These tools can be especially useful for anxiety, low mood, and everyday challenges that benefit from structure and strategy. I incorporate DBT skills to help with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and building healthier coping strategies. These techniques offer grounded, day-to-day support for moments that feel overwhelming or difficult to manage.

For those who benefit from experiential or relational work, I can also offer equine-assisted services if this feels right for you. Across all these methods, my aim is to remain flexible and responsive, so the work feels personal, meaningful, and empowering for you.
