Lorraine Glenn, MAMT, HCPC, PG Dip, MSc, BSc (Hons)

HCPC Registered Psychotherapist and Systemic Practitioner

Hello, my name is Lorraine Glenn. I am a HCPC registered Psychotherapist and Systemic Practitioner. I have 15 years’ experience of working with adults, older adults, children & families.

I support people with mental health difficulties, bereavement, family and relationship issues, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, grief and loss, trauma and abuse. I have been fortunate to work in a variety of clinical settings as part of teams with counsellors, psychotherapists, art, music, drama, and play therapists. I use an integrative approach, allowing the client to engage in the therapeutic process through talking therapy, creatively through music or art, or using a combination of modalities.

I completed a postgraduate diploma in Systemic Practice and Family Therapy. Working systemically helps those in close relationships to better understand & support each other. I use tools & interventions to explore relationships and power dynamics, identify patterns in behaviour and communication across generations, & use psychological theory and evidence to create a map of psychological difficulties.

The relationship between a therapist & client is built on trust, mutual respect & collaboration & it is key to the therapeutic process. I provide a safe space where you can focus on your self-discovery, what is important to you, your strengths, the challenges you face, what holds you back, what motivates & resources you.
