Meet the Therapist

Hello, my name is Orla McFadden. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, professionally registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon three main therapeutic approaches: Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic. This allows me to tailor my approach to suit you as a unique individual, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method.

My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore who you truly are, navigate life’s challenges, and ultimately feel more at home within yourself. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, bereavement, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or other personal challenges, I am here to support you in a way that feels right for you.

Taking the first step to seek support can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to provide the support and understanding you need to move forward at your own pace.

Professional Qualifications

I hold qualifications in the following areas:

  • Bachelor of Arts in English, Social & Political Studies (Hons) – National University of Ireland, Galway
  • Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling – University of Ulster
  • L4 Integrative Counselling – University of Ulster
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Safeguarding Adults and Children

My Style of Therapy

My approach is collaborative and client-led, meaning we work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I believe that healing and personal growth come from feeling truly heard and understood, and I am committed to providing a space where you can express yourself freely. Through our sessions, my goal is to help you gain deeper self-awareness, build resilience, and develop the tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
