Meet the Therapist

Hello, I’m Robyn, a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are feeling overwhelmed or unsure of where to begin. My aim is to help you feel at ease, comfortable and supported from our first session, so we can work together towards the changes you’re hoping for.

I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and truly feel heard. Building trust is at the heart of my work, and I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together at a pace that feels right for you. I believe it is most effective when you feel safe, understood, and supported to explore what matters most to you.

I work one-to-one with adults, offering sessions online or in person from a private and convenient location in Banbridge.  If you’re here looking for support, you’ve already taken an important first step. I’d be happy to work with you and support you moving forward.

Professional Qualifications

I hold qualifications in the following areas:

  • FdSc Integrative Counselling
  • Level 3 in Working Therapeutically with Children & Young People
  • Level 3 in Award in Learning & Development used to host workshops for maternal mental health
  • Applied Risk Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences Training
  • Neurodiversity & Identifying ADHD in Counselling
  • Trauma Sensitive Approaches to Practice
  • Training in Solution focused practice and approaches
  • Child Protection Safeguarding Training

My Style of Therapy

My practice is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than relying on just one fixed model. This allows me to respond to your experience in a way that feels right for you, rather than trying to fit you into a particular method. Some days, our work may involve gently exploring thoughts, feelings, or patterns that have shaped your life story. At other times, it can feel helpful to bring in practical, evidence‑based strategies to support you in navigating the challenges you’re facing right now.

I may also introduce creative ways of working where it feels appropriate, and together we’ll always agree on what feels appropriate and useful for you. I’m here to support without judgement, to help you make sense of your experiences, share resources and tools, and assist you in discovering your own inner resources for growth and change.
