Bereavement & Grief Counselling
Compassionate, private counselling for grief and loss. Available face-to-face across Belfast, Bangor, Newtownabbey, Newtownards, Portadown, Carrickfergus, Antrim, Magherafelt, Coleraine, Banbridge and online.

How we work together
No Rules on Grief
Grief does not follow a set timeline or pattern, and your therapist will never impose one. Whether your loss is recent or long-standing, whether you feel numb, overwhelmed or somewhere in between, your experience is valid and your sessions will be shaped entirely around where you are.
A Space to Be Honest
Many people find it difficult to talk openly about grief with those closest to them, often to protect others or avoid feeling like a burden. Therapy offers a private space where you can say what you actually feel, without editing yourself or worrying about the impact on someone else.
Gentle, Experienced Support
Our therapists bring both clinical training in bereavement and the human sensitivity that grief demands. They will work with you at your pace, holding space for the full complexity of loss, including the parts that are hard to name.

Benefits
Private Grief Counselling Across Northern Ireland
NI Counselling provides compassionate, individually tailored counselling for adults navigating bereavement and loss. We support clients through the death of a loved one, but also through other forms of grief that are often less acknowledged, including relationship breakdown, pregnancy loss, estrangement and the loss of identity, health or life as it was.
Grief can affect every part of life. Sleep, work, relationships and sense of self can all be disrupted. Therapy will not take away the pain of loss, but it can help you carry it differently and find a way through.
Support for All Kinds of Loss
We work with the full spectrum of grief, not only bereavement after death. Whatever you have lost, your experience deserves space and professional support.
Matched to a Bereavement Specialist
We will match you with a therapist who has specific experience supporting clients through grief, ensuring you receive care that is both clinically informed and deeply human.
Concerns We Can Help With
Professional support for life's challenges, matched to your unique needs and goals. Find sanctuary in a space designed for clarity and healing.
