Deborah McCullough is an NCPS accredited psychotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Psychotherapy from Ulster University and has been working as a psychotherapist since 2007. With extensive qualifications including training in CBT, sex therapy, eating disorders, grief and loss, and trauma, Deborah offers an integrative approach supporting adults with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

About Me

Hi, my name is Deborah. I am the founder and Project Manager of NI Counselling. I provide therapy to adults, and I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2007. I have an extensive range of qualifications and experience working with a diverse range of issues.

I will support you to gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and develop your self-awareness. I can help you build resilience and equip you with tools to help face the often intense feelings that life brings us, while providing a tailored, compassionate approach.

Whatever has brought you here, I want you to know that reaching out is a brave and positive step. I am passionate about what I do and genuinely invested in the people I work with. My aim is always to help you feel heard, understood, and hopeful about what lies ahead.

I draw from my knowledge of modern therapeutic practices such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, positive psychology, client-centred approach, and solution-focused therapy, drawing from neuroscience, biology, and spirituality.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining person-centred therapy, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed practice, and neuro-affirming practice. This flexibility allows me to tailor our work together to what you need most.

Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, or any other challenge, I offer a compassionate, experienced presence that meets you where you are and supports you in moving towards the life you want.
