About Me
Hi, I'm Ann. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for adults who are navigating life's challenges, whether that's anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, stress, self-esteem struggles, or simply feeling stuck and wanting more from life. Whatever has brought you here, I'm ready to support you.
I believe every individual and their experiences are unique, so I adapt my approach to suit your needs rather than asking you to fit a fixed model. I work in a person-centred way, drawing on humanistic, CBT and psychodynamic theories to support you on your journey. In my experience, feeling truly heard, understood and accepted is often the most powerful catalyst for change and healing.
I'll walk alongside you with warmth, genuine curiosity, compassion and honesty, while also offering gentle challenge when it might help you see things from a fresh perspective. My practice is neuro-affirming, and I'm glad to draw on additional training and compassion focused approaches where these feel useful, though our work together will always be shaped around you rather than a particular label or issue.
Reaching out for help can feel daunting, and taking that first step takes real courage. I want you to know there's no "right" way to arrive here. Some people come with a clear sense of what they want to work on, others simply feel something isn't quite right and aren't sure where to start. Both are welcome.
I offer sessions in person from our Portadown office, as well as online and by telephone, so you can choose whatever feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone. I'm here to meet you wherever you are, and to support you as you find your way forward, at your own pace.
