David is a HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with a decade of experience. Specialising in trauma, anxiety and neurodivergence, he offers a creative, body-informed approach that blends talking therapy with art, music and somatic techniques.

About Me

Hi, I'm David. I am a HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist and trauma-informed Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Since beginning my practice in 2014, I have worked creatively with clients of all ages, and I feel genuinely grateful for the privilege of doing so. My approach brings together talking therapy and creative modalities , including art, music and movement , adapting to the individual needs of each person I work with.

At the heart of my work is a belief that the opposite of trauma and overwhelm is connection: being seen, heard and feeling like we matter. My style of therapy is grounded in offering a safe, trauma-informed space where you can become more attentive to how your body and mind hold your experience. I draw on somatic principles to help you access greater emotional regulation and ease , learning what you can let go of, and what you need to hold on to, in a way that builds a gentle and compassionate relationship with yourself.

I have extensive experience supporting adults with the emotional weight of stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement and trauma, and I bring particular expertise in working with neurodivergent clients including those with Autism and ADHD. My goal is always to offer you practical, meaningful skills that support your repair and give you a greater sense of control in your life.
