About Me
Hi, I'm Helen. I am a qualified Adult Integrative Counsellor with a background in music , I trained as a piano teacher and over many years noticed an increasing number of students experiencing mental health difficulties. That experience led me to retrain formally as a counsellor, and it remains at the heart of how I approach my work: with curiosity, patience, and a genuine belief in every person's capacity to find their own path to healing.
My practice offers a gentle, non-judgmental, confidential and safe space where you can unravel, and perhaps for the first time, acknowledge and process thoughts and feelings that have been difficult to explore. I can help with anxiety, despair, worthlessness, worries about the future, sadness, grief, feelings of inadequacy and feeling stuck. I have a particular interest in how the body holds and reacts to memories and emotions, and I use a range of insight, tools and techniques to help reduce the intensity of difficult physical and emotional responses.
I work with adults of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations and neurodivergent profiles. I hold my clients' needs central at all times, moving at your pace and tailoring my approach to your individual goals. I draw on humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural skills and techniques, and I firmly believe that everyone has the power within themselves to find a road to healing. It is a genuine privilege to travel that journey with you.

What lies beneath us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us. And when we bring what is within us out into the open, miracles happen.
