Karen is a dually accredited integrative counsellor with experience in GP, community and private practice settings. With specialist experience supporting disabled people, carers and those with long-term health conditions, she brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to a wide range of adult concerns.

About Me

Hi, I'm Karen. I am an Integrative Counsellor registered with both the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I believe that the most important part of counselling is the relationship between client and counsellor, and I strive to create a trusting, warm, safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel genuinely heard.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues across private practice, GP surgeries and community settings. My background includes providing counselling for disabled people, carers, and people with long-term health or life-limiting conditions, and I offer a blend of counselling that is unique to each person depending on individual needs.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help you navigate life's challenges and foster personal growth. Together we can work on developing healthy boundaries, increasing self-care, learning to recognise and challenge negative thoughts and building a self-compassionate outlook. I firmly believe that having a space to be truly listened to and respected is essential to facilitating lasting healing and change.

We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.
