Kathleen is a BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor offering warm, thoughtful support to adults navigating life's challenges. Combining empathy with gentle challenge, she helps clients develop self-awareness, build confidence and find ways forward that feel right for them.

About Me

Hello, I'm Kathleen. I work with adults navigating difficult periods in their lives, whether they're feeling stuck, struggling with relationships or uncertain about how to move forward.

Our difficulties don't arise in isolation. Past experiences and relationships, alongside the pressures and expectations of the wider world, can shape how we see ourselves, what we believe we should be able to cope with, and how we relate to others. In a culture that often encourages us to achieve, keep going and manage things on our own, it can be hard to recognise what we need or find space to reflect.

I offer an opportunity to pause and explore what's happening in your life, including feelings or patterns that may be difficult to put into words. Together, we can consider where these patterns come from, how they affect you and whether there are other ways that may feel more helpful.

My approach is warm and collaborative, combining empathy with curiosity and gentle challenge. I offer a space where you can speak openly and consider your experiences from different perspectives, without fear of judgement.

You might be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, low self-esteem, grief, trauma or burnout. I will use person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic approaches, and adapt our work to you and what feels most helpful. We can begin wherever you are and work at a pace that feels manageable for you, helping you navigate relationships, make sense of difficult feelings and face life's challenges with greater insight, awareness and confidence.
