Melissa is a dually accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a person-centred, trauma-informed approach. Inclusive, compassionate and deeply committed to creating affirming spaces, she supports adults with anxiety, trauma, grief, neurodivergence and a wide range of mental health concerns.

About Me

Hi, I'm Melissa. I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

I believe therapy is about cultivating growth and strength for your mental wellbeing. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of something deeply meaningful. My role is to walk alongside you at your pace, offering a safe, compassionate and steady space where you can explore whatever you are carrying.

Life can feel overwhelming in many ways , through anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, loss, relationship difficulties, identity questions or simply feeling stuck. I work with a wide range of adult mental health presentations and have specific experience supporting neurodiverse individuals and members of minority groups. Creating an inclusive, affirming and respectful environment is central to how I practise. Whoever you are, you are very welcome here.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, rooted in person-centred values. Our work is shaped around you, your story, your strengths and your goals. Therapy with me is not about fixing , it is about gently making sense of your experiences, reconnecting with your inner resilience, and nurturing sustainable change in a way that feels natural and authentic.
