About Me

Hi, I'm Orla. I'm a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, providing support to adults experiencing a range of difficulties.

You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in patterns that are difficult to understand or change. Thoughts and emotions can become intense or hard to manage, and this can affect you physically, emotionally and mentally. It can feel confusing, frustrating, and at times like you're going in circles.

In our work together, my focus is to help bring clarity and understanding to what you're experiencing, at a pace that feels safe for you. This can help you make sense of what's been going on and develop more compassion for yourself as you begin to understand the reasons behind the ways you cope. Therapy with me is about building awareness and understanding, rather than the often-familiar voice of judgement.

I adapt sessions to meet individual sensory, cognitive and processing needs, and I integrate approaches from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and EMDR to support you in a way that works with your brain, not against it. My approach is warm, collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practice.

I provide a non-judgemental space where we can stay curious together. Therapy with me balances understanding past experiences and coping patterns with building practical skills, emotional regulation and a genuine sense of compassion toward yourself.

Taking the step to reach out isn't easy, and I know it takes courage to begin. Whatever you're carrying, whether that's anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to support you in bringing more clarity, understanding and self-compassion to your experience, and to help you move forward at whatever pace feels right for you.
