About Me

Hi, I'm Jacinta. Whatever you are going through right now, I am glad you are exploring your options for support. As a therapist, my aim is to offer you the kind of experience I would value for myself or a loved one , the chance to speak with someone warm, calm and respectful who is also trained, ethical and professional.

Most people seek counselling at times of transition in life, when a combination of challenges across different areas can feel overwhelming. If you work with me, I hope you will find that I listen carefully and do my best to understand. Whether we meet in person, by phone or online, it is important to me that you feel safe and comfortable expressing your thoughts and feelings, at your pace and without judgment. That foundation allows us to explore and make sense of things together.

My work is primarily person-centred, meaning how we work together will be guided by your preferences, needs and values in a responsive and collaborative way. I will draw flexibly from a range of approaches, tools and techniques that are relevant to you. I have worked in mental health for over ten years across voluntary, community, corporate and private settings, with adults from a diverse range of backgrounds, nationalities, cultures and identities. I believe that everyone is the expert in their own unique situation and that, given appropriate support and time, we can all gain new insight and experience positive change.
